Feeder Finance Weekly Update – Dec 29, 2021

TL;DR

  • The ball is in PeckShield’s court for the audit process, UI and APIs are in progress on our end, project outreach starting, and an updated roadmap is due early January to support the process.
  • We’re aiming to release a new big-picture roadmap that outlines 2022 in early January that would both communicate to you, potential influencers, and new users about who we are and what we’re aiming to achieve in 2022.
  • Testing historical balance data internally, UI will get built and launched once accuracy is confirmed.
  • We’ve stealth launched about 20 vaults over the past week; a ton more are coming and will keep coming. We won’t announce them yet officially, though, but we will do that with the road map; there is a reason for this which you’ll find out.

Merry Christmas, and Have a Great 2022!

Sunday will be just past the new year for everyone, so I’ll be more dramatic, but I’m sure many of you guys are either already on holiday until then or are about to. I realize Christmas isn’t strictly a thing everywhere globally, but most people celebrate the spirit of festivities regardless of religion. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a great time with your families over the past week.  As for the rest of 2021, have fun, party hard, keep your families close, and stay safe during the holidays guys, don’t drink and drive!!

By the way, share shots of the fireworks if you don’t mind, that would be really nice; I’m not sure I’ll get to see it where I am at that moment but looking forward to seeing yours!

Core Business Updates

Lending Platform

The ball is in PeckShield’s court for the audit process, UI and APIs are in progress on our end, project outreach starting, and an updated roadmap is due early January to support the process.

PeckShield has received our latest turn of requests, and things are sitting with them; we expect them to be taking some time off over New Year, so I doubt they’ll get back until after; that’s fine though we do need time to prepare.

We have the front-end development and outreach pieces to work on our end.

Pandit is working through many APIs that will support the front-end functionalities based on initial design requirements, allowing interactions between lending platform participants. Jimmy will finalize the designs once these pieces are done.

We’ve completed initial drafts of our cover message that will first be used to reach projects that could potentially be interested in partnering for the launch. It’s early days, and we have a couple of people indicating they will give it a look; it’s a numbers game, and we need a lead, so we need to keep pushing.  As for broader outreach, we’ll do that with a big-picture roadmap both as material to share with influencers and get the message across loud and clear in general. More on this further down below.

Upcoming Roadmap

We’re aiming to release a new big-picture roadmap that outlines 2022 in early January that would both communicate to you, potential influencers, and new users about who we are and what we’re aiming to achieve in 2022.

We’ve traditionally been relatively tactical in our roadmaps, looking forward a couple of months because we needed visibility and certain things we should be working on. This remains true. However, as many of the foundational items have been completed in their initial forms, we simply need to continue to improve them as we go (think Portfolio Upgrade, more vaults/networks, aggregating swap, and so on).

What we need to set straight, though, are the major items that typically take months of development, and thanks to the foundational work we’ve completed, it’s a lot clearer to us how it would all come together. We’ll outline this in our roadmap, and it’ll be fun!

Portfolio Upgrade

Testing historical balance data internally, UI will get built and launched once accuracy is confirmed.

Rafael is still working very hard on the Price Tool, which would enable many use cases for the platform that’s nearing completion. However, we’ve decided to work around a ‘perfect’ way to do the historical balance and opted for a quicker, less perfect solution which will be upgraded later. As a user, you won’t know the difference; it’s just a matter of backend flexibility and sustainability.

We already began testing the output internally and selectively with a couple of Feeders that we know are heavy users of the vaults. Early indications suggest it’s working as intended, and once confirmed, we can work on the UI and release. We can’t wait to get this out to you!

Vault Products

We’ve stealth launched about 20 vaults over the past week; a ton more are coming and will keep coming. We won’t announce them yet, but we will do that with the road map; there is a reason for this which you’ll find out.

Just a hint, they’re mostly AutoStaking on FTM, but many more are coming!
